Very Important Chapters of the Bible
Each Wednesday will be spent studying a different chapter within Scripture that is key to understanding the whole of God’s Word for us.
Track 2
The Fruit of the Spirit (Fall Semester)
This Bible study looks at the godly characteristics that are naturally a part of Christian life. As a tree cannot help but bear fruit, so Christians, planted by God in Christ will also bear fruit in all areas of their lives.
Bible Symbols (Spring Semester)
Symbols used throughout the Bible have the potential to be misunderstood and misinterpreted. This Bible study establishes good principles for interpreting those symbols.

The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis (6 weeks)

The first title in C. S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia, The Magician’s Nephew takes readers on a journey to witness the creation of the fantastical land of Narnia. This study will explore temptation, pride, and reliance upon the Creator.
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens (5 weeks)

This timeless classic invites readers on a transformative journey alongside Ebenezer Scrooge, from a miser consumed by greed to a beacon of generosity and kindness. Led by Susie Page.
Ruth (6 weeks)

In this study, we see God provide a faithful redeemer, leading to God providing His people with THE Kinsman-Redeemer: Ruth's descendant, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
The ComPASSION of Christ: the Big Picture by Paul Maier (6 weeks)

Dr. Paul Maier, a professor of Ancient History, discusses the events and people involved in the Passion events of Christ.
The Pursuit of God by A.W. Tozer (5 weeks)

“…before a man can seek God, God must first have sought the man.” -A.W. Tozer. Participants will deepen their relationship with God by whom they have already been found.
SMALL GROUPS CURRENTLY IN SESSION
START (ages 22-35). This is a group of singles and newly married Christians who are starting out and want to grow in their faith with other Christians. Join us for fellowship. 6;00 pm Wednesday nights.
LiFT Bible Study
Our new Thursday ladies study will begin September 12th-November 7th, at 6:30 PM. We will study Revelation by Jen Wilken. Sign up below.
Men’s Bible Study (Sept - May)
Our monthly Men’s Bible Study meets the second Saturday of every month at 7:30am. All men are welcome and invited to attend. . Our study beginning Sept 14 is on the Four Gospels.
Prayer Small Groups
Meet for prayer weekly with your Christian brothers and sisters through Zoom. If you prefer not to pray out loud, you can still participate. Please include your availability (in the comment box below) and you will be notified by Pastor Malinak of the day and time of your weekly prayer group. Each session of prayer will last 15-30 minutes.
FELLOWSHIP GROUPS
Young Adult Discipleship Group
This is a discipleship group open to all LWLC members and friends (ages 16-22) who wish to delve deeper into the Bible. We meet Tuesday morning at 7:00 am at the Starbucks in Westlake (78 Andorra Dr). The curriculum we will be using is Harvest Workers - a series of lessons put out by the LCMC Texas district. This will provide a good deep dive into the Bible, what we believe and why. (Thursdays 7-7:45am)
Golf Fellowship
We meet Tuesday mornings at Bear Creek Golf Club. Hope you can join us. Everyone is welcome!
Life Experienced - Reformation Party - October 26th
Life Experienced will gather on Saturday, October 26th at 5:30 pm at the home of Donna Sellers to celebrate the Reformation. A German entree and potato salad will be served, so plan to bring a side dish or dessert to share. We’ll eat around 6:30 and then play Reformation Trivia. Please sign up below, so we’ll know how many to prepare for.
October 25th 6-8pm Family Movie Night: We will enjoy a family friendly Halloween movie, as well as popcorn and fellowship. Please bring a friend and some food to share for the potluck! See you there!
